In ’The Hairy Notion of a Green Afternoon’ a mysterious protagonist emerges from elemental energies, leading us on her sensational journey. She (the ‘Ur-Frau’) is a mysterious force, ever-changing, responding to, and even becoming, her encounters with nature. She evolves from the primal shadows of space, takes on the wild freedom of horses and the blinking light of stars to then caress the melancholy power of the sleepy moon. Submerging in the echoed splash of the deep cave pools, she bleeds with the pained prick of a blooming rose. Absorbing the throb of a golden heartbeat, she continues her tale of becoming. Magical creatures accompany her: transmogrifying trees that become bejewelled majesties or the ever-changing fauna that become her cosmos. Her story is that of emotion - felt, rather than told - a tale where the original score pulsates expressively with the visuals’ rhythm. It is a tale of enrichment and empowerment, breathing and oozing nature’s forms and wonders.
