Yn fuan wedyn, wrth i Rhodri fod allan yn gyrru ei dractor mewn cae cyfagos, mae'n gweld car yn agosáu. Mae'r meysydd parcio gyferbyn â'r ffermdy ac mae dyn yn mynd allan ac yn cerdded ar draws y cae i gyfeiriad Rhodri. Wrth iddo nesáu at y tractor gwelwn fod y dyn wedi'i gleisio a'i waedu. Dyma Rhys, brawd iau Rhodri.
Mae Rhys yn mynnu cael benthyg dryll, ac mae ef a Rhodri yn mynd i ffrae. Yn ystod eu dadl cawn wybod i Rhys gael ei guro y bore hwnnw gan ŵr o’r enw Gavin Huntley, y mae arno swm sylweddol o arian. Mae Rhys yn datgelu, ar ôl methu â thynnu’r ddyled oddi arno, fod Gavin wedi bygwth dod i geisio taliad ar y fferm. Yn union wedyn, mae Rhodri yn sylwi ar lori codi gwyn yn goryrru tuag at y fferm yn y pellter. Gan sylweddoli'r perygl, mae'n cydio yn ei frawd ac yn ei orymdeithio i ysgubor gyfagos, lle mae'r cabinet dryll wedi'i leoli.
Unwaith y tu mewn i'r sgubor, mae Rhodri yn rhoi cyfle i Rhys gymryd y dryll, ond mae Rhys yn ei botelu, gan adael Rhodri i gael trefn ar lanast ei frawd ar ei ben ei hun. Mae'n cydio yn y dryll ac yn mynd tuag at y ffermdy.
Gavin yn tynnu i fyny o flaen y ffermdy. Mae Rhodri'n bygwth Gavin â'r dryll, sy'n ymddangos yn ddigyffro. Yn ystod eu safiad, clywn fod Rhys wedi bod yn dweud celwydd wrth ei frawd : dywedodd wrth Gavin ei fod yn berchen ar hanner y fferm, yn ôl pob tebyg i ddod allan o guriad pellach, pan adawyd y fferm yn gyfan gwbl i Rhodri gan Mr. y tad, ar gyfrif Rhys yn annibynadwy. Mae Gavin yno i hawlio ei gyfran yn y fferm fel taliad am ddyled Rhys.
Gan benderfynu nad yw Rhodri yn peri unrhyw fath o fygythiad difrifol, mae Gavin yn mynd allan o'r car ac yn cerdded tuag ato, gan fynnu ei fod yn rhoi'r gwn i lawr. Gan deimlo bod ei fferm, ei wraig a’i blentyn mewn perygl difrifol, a chyda rhuthr o waed i’r pen dan bwysau dwys, mae Rhodri’n tynnu’r sbardun, gan ladd Gavin yn syth bin.
Mae Rhys yn ailymddangos o ble mae wedi bod yn cuddio ac yn ceisio cymryd rheolaeth o'r sefyllfa, gan gyfarth gorchmynion at ei frawd. Wedi’i lethu gan emosiwn, mae arswyd Rhodri at yr hyn y mae wedi’i wneud yn troi’n gynddaredd gyda’i frawd, y mae ei weithredoedd wedi dod â chymaint o anhrefn i’w stepen drws unwaith eto. Rhodri yn codi'r dryll i ben ei frawd; Mae Rhys yn wynebu'r ffordd arall ac nid yw'n ymwybodol.
Torri i ddu.
Shortly afterwards, as Rhodri is out driving his tractor in a nearby field, he spots a car approaching. The car parks up opposite the farmhouse and a man gets out and walks across the field towards Rhodri. As he approaches the tractor we see that the man is bruised and bloodied. This is Rhys, Rhodri's younger brother.
Rhys demands to borrow a shotgun, and he and Rhodri get into an argument. During the course of their argument we learn that Rhys was beaten up that morning by a man called Gavin Huntley, to whom he owes a significant amount of money. Rhys reveals that, having not been able to extract the debt from him, Gavin has threatened to come seeking payment up at the farm. Just then, Rhodri notices a white pickup truck speeding towards the farm in the distance. Realising the danger, he grabs his brother and marches him to a nearby barn, where the shotgun cabinet is located.
Once inside the barn, Rhodri gives Rhys an opportunity to take the shotgun, but Rhys bottles it, leaving Rhodri to sort out his brother's mess out on his own. He grabs the shotgun and heads towards the farmhouse.
Gavin pulls up in front of the farmhouse. Rhodri threatens Gavin with the shotgun, who appears unperturbed. During the course of their stand-off, we learn that Rhys has been lying to his brother : he told Gavin that he owned half the farm, presumably to get out of a further beating, when in fact the farm was left entirely to Rhodri by the father, on account of Rhys being untrustworthy. Gavin is there to claim his stake in the farm by way of payment for Rhys' debt.
Deciding that Rhodri doesn't pose any kind of serious threat, Gavin gets out of the car and walks towards him, demanding he put down the shotgun. Feeling that his farm, his wife and his child are in serious danger, and with a rush of blood to the head under intense pressure, Rhodri pulls the trigger, killing Gavin instantly.
Rhys reappears from where he's been hiding and tries to take control of the situation, barking orders at his brother. Overwhelmed with emotion, Rhodri's horror at what he's done morphs into fury with his brother, whose actions have brought so much chaos to his doorstep once again. Rhodri raises the shotgun to his brother's head; Rhys is facing the other way and is unaware.
Cut to black.
